So life is flying by as a wedding is slowly being planned. Sometimes I think I'm not doing enough... or rather Jen is having to do too much. However, work has prevented me this week from being an active participant in my own wedding planning. Now we're kind of down to the final push - which is an ironic phrase to use given that Jen's older sister Allison gave birth to her first child a couple of nights ago. And even though this is a wedding blog - we love our family and so it is with great joy that we show you Owen James Murphy (probably for the first time posted to the web). This pic is with is "old man" Walter Murphy, fireman and hero of stranded kittens.

Anyhoo, here are the last few "big" items to get done (at least the ones I'm aware of) - this weekend we hope.

  1. Finish registering (we are registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond; Marshall Fields; Crate and Barrel)
  2. Book the band - Doug Deming and the Jeweltones
  3. Begin the invitation stuff - direction cards, maps, addressing them etc...
  4. Tuxedos anyone?
  5. Oh yeah and we need a place to go on our honeymoon - any suggestions? You can vote at our website - www.jenandwill2006.com (I hope to have some serious updates finished by the end of the weekend).
  6. O.K. the ring setting - that's actually happening tonight.
Pray for us if you think of it, the stress is suppose to motivate us to plan an important day in our lives together, not crush our spirits and we fear that the looming deadline and the amount of items left "to-do" is beginning to do that.

Cheers all, have a wonderful weekend.

What a beautiful little boy! Please give my congrats to the proud parents! As for your honeymoon, I would recommend a cruise in the caribbean! We loved it, and loved seeing all of the ports. Lots to do and the staff does EVERYTHING for you. It's wonderful to be pampered. But I also picture you two tucked away in a little cabin in the mountains somewhere with a quaint town close by. Whatever you choose, enjoy the week alone together! I love you both and am looking forward to seeing you in 3 weeks!
